SUV Showdown: Compare the 2018 Honda CR-V vs 2018 Toyota RAV4

We've compared crossovers within the Honda lineup to see why the 2018 Honda CR-V is such a competitive model. But it's time to put it to the big test:

Against its top rival, the new 2018 Toyota RAV4.

Both of these compact SUVs are incredibly popular options in Pompano Beach, and both have plenty to offer. The RAV4's new Adventure trim level is undeniably cool. But, if you can only choose one new crossover to take home, carefully consider the advantages of a Honda SUV:

  • Both of the 2018 Honda CR-V's engines are more powerful than the 2018 RAV4's only engine
  • Honda equips its compact SUV with available Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration--Toyota doesn't
  • The 2018 Honda CR-V boasts more cargo volume behind the rear seats--and overall--than the 2018 RAV4
  • Both SUVs offer All-Wheel Drive as an option, but only Honda offers Intelligent Variable Torque Management AWD
  • Even the lifted RAV4 Adventure offers less ground clearance than both the FWD and AWD Honda CR-V!

It's not hard to see how the capable and fun new 2018 Honda CR-V has the upper hand over its top rival.

Thanks to its big redesign back in 2017, the Honda CR-V is an even more competitive option than ever, and it's getting hard for other SUVs in Pompano Beach to keep up.
